Bot Detection

Bot detection checkers, demos and evaluations

Use a public demo to inspect output and an assisted pilot to test deployment. This directory distinguishes the route available for each product; it does not perform automated tests itself.

PUBLIC TESTS AND EVALUATION RESOURCES

Test the protected action.

Record a legitimate browser baseline. Use an authorized test environment to change one condition, then inspect the protected endpoint, server verification and recovery flow. A browser property or challenge token is not a complete abuse assessment.

Links open the provider or project’s own site. This directory does not embed their checkers or receive their results. A browser observation, an IP classification and an account-based evaluation answer different questions.

Find the right test

Choose a resource by the evidence it exposes. Product evaluations for the full shortlist remain below.

7 of 7 resources

01 / ShieldLabs

ShieldLabs live browser check

Live browser and risk assessment

Inspect the current visit’s device/network evidence, detected client context and risk.

Output
Risk score, risk observations and identifiers when the live visit completes.
Access and limits
Public live checker. The separate dashboard tour is an illustrative product walkthrough.
Evaluation idea
Record a normal authorized visit, change one permitted browser or connection condition, and compare the result at the same action.

02 / Fingerprint

Fingerprint scraping-prevention demo

Live bot-protected sample application

Inspect a sample flight-search endpoint protected by the Bot Detection Smart Signal.

Output
Sample search results or the demo’s detection/error response; no real travel purchase is needed.
Access and limits
Public demonstration. It does not establish permanent free access to every production Smart Signal.
Evaluation idea
Use the normal search first. Compare only permitted testing of the demo or your own application; keep endpoint failures separate from a bot verdict.

03 / Sannysoft / open-source diagnostics

Sannysoft browser diagnostics

Browser-property diagnostics

Read browser-environment checks such as WebDriver, plugins, permissions and rendering properties.

Output
Individual diagnostic results and collected browser properties, not a vendor fraud score.
Access and limits
Public diagnostic page. This resource is outside the scored vendor comparison.
Evaluation idea
Inspect your own browser and an authorized test environment. A failed property test is an observation, not a complete determination of abuse.

04 / Google reCAPTCHA

Google reCAPTCHA examples

Public widget and score examples

Explore the official sample application’s checkbox, invisible and v3 score flows.

Output
The selected example’s widget, validation or score response when available.
Access and limits
Public samples linked to google/recaptcha source code. They are not an Enterprise account evaluation or a provider-wide accuracy benchmark.
Evaluation idea
Compare the supported sample flows in your own browser. Record challenge completion or unavailable states without submitting personal data.

05 / hCaptcha

hCaptcha sample form

Public challenge-form example

Inspect the sample form and embedded hCaptcha widget before planning an integration.

Output
A challenge/widget and the sample’s validation flow when completed.
Access and limits
Public example with an optional form field. hCaptcha is outside the eleven scored products; paid/passive features have separate entitlements.
Evaluation idea
Inspect the empty sample and supported widget behavior. Do not infer Enterprise risk scores or passive-mode access from this public example.

06 / Cloudflare Turnstile

Turnstile deterministic test fixtures

Integration test fixtures, not live accuracy checks

Test success, failure and duplicate-token handling with documented dummy sitekeys and secret keys.

Output
Predictable dummy tokens and validation outcomes in your own test environment.
Access and limits
Public instructions; integration setup is required. Turnstile and Enterprise Bot Management are separate Cloudflare products.
Evaluation idea
Exercise success, failure and replay handling in a development environment. A dummy-key pass does not demonstrate that real automation was detected.

07 / Vercel Labs

Vercel BotID starter

Deployable integration example

Inspect the official starter’s protected endpoint and backend checkBotId flow.

Output
Example code for a protected application route; an actual result requires a configured deployment.
Access and limits
Public source template. Vercel BotID has its own plan and check-level terms; Deep Analysis is distinct from a direct Kasada subscription.
Evaluation idea
Review the client/server boundary and deploy only to your own authorized test environment. This directory does not execute or deploy the starter.

Keep the comparison repeatable

  1. Define the protected action and use only your own or authorized data.
  2. Record the provider, timestamp, assessed entity, field definitions and scale.
  3. Change one permitted condition and repeat the same action.
  4. Include legitimate controls and keep unavailable fields distinct from negative findings.
  5. Evaluate the supported integration and account access before applying the result to customers.

Product access and full-shortlist evaluations

These are the existing vendor routes and their recorded access conditions. A trial request, product walkthrough or documentation page is not another public checker.

What a demo can establish

A public browser demo can show the output for your current visit. It cannot establish how a detector performs on your customers, direct API clients or a managed production rollout. Evaluate permitted automation and known legitimate users on the same routes.

ToolEvaluation typeWhat to test
ShieldLabsPublic browser demoOpen the demo to inspect the identification and risk context of your own browser visit.
DataDomeSales-assisted evaluationUse Get a demo on the pricing page to arrange a trial of your own deployment.
Cloudflare Bot ManagementEnterprise plan and setup documentationReview the Enterprise subscription and follow its documented setup routes; evaluation depends on Cloudflare account and commercial access.
HUMANSolutions-engineer-assisted rolloutThe onboarding guide describes account setup, a client sensor and an inline Enforcer with a Solutions Engineer.
KasadaCommercial demo requestUse the vendor's Book a call route to arrange an evaluation; Vercel BotID is a separate integration and commercial surface.
Imperva Advanced Bot ProtectionProduct tour and commercial evaluationUse the product page's evaluation routes to assess the bot product and its application-security integration.
Akamai Bot ManagerCommercial evaluationArrange evaluation through the product page and confirm the Bot Manager or Premier feature scope.
Arkose LabsSales-assisted demoUse Book a Demo on the product page; assess risk detection and challenge behavior on the intended user flows.
FingerprintPublic browser demoInspect browser identification and available detection results; check plan and preview availability separately.
reCAPTCHA EnterpriseGoogle Cloud setup and assessment evaluationFollow the product's setup route to evaluate score-based or challenge-based keys and verify assessments on the backend.

Keep the evaluation comparable

  1. Choose the protected route and business outcome.
  2. Check the required feature and product tier.
  3. Test known customers, useful bots and permitted automation.
  4. Inspect backend verification and investigation data.
  5. Compare enforcement, latency and billable events.

FAQ

Do browser diagnostics and dummy keys measure bot detection accuracy?

No. Diagnostics expose particular browser properties. Dummy keys produce predetermined integration outcomes. Evaluate real detection on permitted labeled traffic with legitimate controls and the actual production feature entitlement.

Does this directory collect my checker result?

No. The cards and links are static HTML, and JavaScript only filters this directory. Each linked provider controls collection, results, retention and access on its own site.

Are public demos, sandboxes and product trials equivalent?

No. A public demo exposes a limited interaction. A sandbox exercises documented test behavior, while an account-based or assisted trial evaluates a particular product scope. Keep each output and its access conditions attached.

Can scores from different checkers be compared directly?

Only when their assessed entity, definitions and scales are comparable. Record the individual fields and missing results. A network reputation score, identification confidence and account-risk verdict are different measures.
